November soybean futures on the Chicago Board of Trade (CBOT) indicator closed lower on Friday and ended with a three-day gain. Traders said that before the long weekend holiday in the US, profits were made and the spot market weakened. November soybean futures SX2 closed down 7 cents at $17.56-1/2. Last Friday, ICE: Canadian canola futures closed higher, as little hedging pressure can hardly offset buying. The November rapeseed futures contract rose by 1.9 Canadian dollars to 637.6 Canadian dollars.
Stimulated by the speech of Federal Reserve Chairman Bernanke, combined with favorable economic data from the United States, international oil prices rose sharply on August 31. On the New York Mercantile Exchange, light sweet crude for delivery in October rose 1.85 dollars to close at 96.47 dollars per barrel, an increase of 1.96%.
