The emergence of the above situation is mainly due to two aspects. First, due to the lack of technical reserves and innovation capabilities of food production companies and highly homogenized product mix, the pressure on the industry to compete in low-level markets has been exacerbated. Some companies seek to improve the content of nutrients in food testing, not relying on technological R&D and innovation capabilities. Instead, they try to use the illusion of mental deficiency and regulatory loopholes, and illegally add some non-edible substances and abuse food additives. Somehow, some companies use excessive use of food additives as a means to reduce production costs, obtain higher profits, and use false advertising to market to the market only products that do not really have nutritional value but merely change their face.

Second, because the relevant laws, regulations and standards systems are still not complete and indicators are lagging behind, the regulatory agencies have encountered difficulties in their implementation. For the relevant departments, how to combine the economic and social development level of our country and make timely amendments to the backward industry standards in accordance with the times should be put on the agenda as soon as possible. In addition, the release and dissemination of food quality and safety information needs to be further regulated in order to improve the effectiveness of public opinion supervision and social participation.

Secondly, adhere to the principles of openness, transparency, scientific rigorousness, and wide participation, further improve the procedures for the revision of safety standards for foods, food additives, and food-related products, and improve and perfect the national food safety standards system. All regions should also formulate local standards for food safety in a timely manner in accordance with regulatory needs, encourage enterprises to formulate food safety corporate standards that are stricter than national standards, and effectively implement standards implementation. Third, strengthen the supervision of food safety capabilities and increase support for weak areas and key links in inspection and testing capabilities. All localities should also rationally equip and reinforce food safety supervisory personnel according to local conditions, strengthen grassroots regulatory enforcement forces, strengthen the equipment construction of food safety supervision and law enforcement teams, and focus on increasing on-site equipment such as rapid detection and investigation and evidence collection, and improve supervision and enforcement. ability. Fourth, speed up the construction of a fully functional food safety information platform, achieve information sharing and resource sharing among various regions and departments, strengthen information collection, analysis, and regular release of food safety information to the community.
