1. Biogas Slurry Feeding Method

1.1 Pre-Testing Phase (Approximately 15 Days) Before starting to feed pigs with biogas slurry, it's important to prepare the animals properly. This includes deworming, enhancing their stomach health, and ensuring they are free from diseases. During this phase, transition from cooked food to raw feed, feeding them four times a day with controlled portions. Additionally, every day, place a small amount of biogas slurry in a container within the pigpen so that the pigs can get familiar with its smell. When beginning direct feeding with biogas slurry, make sure the pigs are slightly hungry—about 1–2 tons of feed—so they are more eager to eat. Once the pigs become accustomed to the new feeding method, start by introducing small amounts of biogas slurry gradually.

1.2 Feeding Technique Biogas slurry should be collected from the outlet of the biogas digester after it has been producing gas normally for at least 40 days. Before taking the slurry, remove the floating foam on the surface and collect only the clear liquid. Then, filter it through gauze and mix it thoroughly into the pig feed before serving.

1.3 Feeding Quantity The amount of biogas slurry should be increased gradually. For pigs weighing less than 25 kg, feed 0.3 kg per pig per meal, four times a day. For pigs between 25 and 50 kg, increase the portion to 0.6 kg per meal. Pigs weighing 50 to 100 kg should be fed three times daily with 1 kg per head each time. For pigs over 100 kg, feed 1.5 kg per meal.

2. Feeding Biogas Slurry to Pigs

2.1 Monitor Feed Intake It is essential to closely observe how much the pigs consume when being fed with biogas slurry. If the pigs show poor appetite or excessive consumption, reduce the amount accordingly. Adjustments may be needed based on their behavior and health condition.

2.2 Quality of Biogas Slurry The biogas slurry must be fresh and pure. It should come from the middle section of the digester that has been producing gas normally for 40 days. The ideal pH level is between 6.8 and 7.2. Avoid using slurry from tanks that are not producing gas or have become contaminated, as it may contain harmful bacteria and parasites. Do not use slurry that smells strongly of ammonia, as it can irritate the pigs and reduce their feed intake. After removing the slurry, let it sit for 1 to 2 hours (longer in winter) to allow the ammonia to dissipate before feeding.

2.3 Adjust Based on Pig Condition Feed biogas slurry according to the pig’s condition. If diarrhea occurs, it may indicate an excess of slurry or the pig’s inability to adapt. In such cases, reduce or stop feeding for 1–2 days, and the issue usually resolves on its own. Piglets should not be given biogas slurry due to their sensitive digestive systems, which could affect their growth. Pigs over 20 kg, however, often show significant weight gain when fed with biogas slurry. Sows fed before estrus may experience earlier heat cycles and higher litter sizes. However, avoid feeding during estrus or pregnancy, as it may impact the piglets’ development. Postpartum feeding can improve milk quality and benefit the sow’s lactation. Never replace regular feed entirely with biogas slurry, and do not reduce the total monthly feed quantity.

Potassium Fulvic Acid

1. Definition:
potassium fulvate/potassium fulvic acid powder/flake is 100% water soluble fine powder, or shiny flakes, derived from natural young active leonardite with various functional groups, such as hydroxyl, carboxyl and phenolic hydroxyl, etc. Small molecular weight enhance its chelating capacity and enables it more easily to be uptook by the plant. It is organic chelator, ideal Soil Conditioner and natural plant growth stimulant.
2.Functions & Benefit:
1) Improve the soil structure& fertility, increase the soil buffering powder
2) Stimulate vigorous root growth
3) Immediately enhance nutrient uptake via the leaves and roots
4) Increase the utilization efficiency of fertilizer and pesticide
5) Increase PH buffering capacity & CEC cation exchange capacity of soil
6) Enhance plant resistance to disease, pest, cold, drought and dry
7) Increase the quality and yield of crops
8) Increase the germination of seeds and enhance development of radicles
9) Easily to be converted to liquid
10) Excellent for fertilizer coating, like UREA, NPK, etc
