Reasonable watering is an important measure to ensure the robust growth of greenhouse vegetables and increase production. The temperature in winter and spring is low. Watering vegetables in greenhouses depends on the nature of the day, seeing the fields, and watching the seedlings to prevent side effects caused by improper watering. According to the author's many years of practical experience, greenhouse vegetable watering should master the following skills:

, take the dark film irrigation between the ridges. Can generally be used wide and narrow row cover film cultivation method, wide row spacing 80 cm, narrow row spacing 50 cm, ridge height 10 ~ 15 cm, row per row planting seedlings. The two adjacent ridges shall be covered with a mulch film, covered with a plastic film or covered with dry straw, straw, etc. between the rows. According to the measurement, submerged under-membrane irrigation can increase the ground temperature by 5°C, reduce air humidity by 9% to 10%, and reduce disease by more than 30%.

, master the number of watering and watering. According to the different types of vegetables and different growing periods, the number of watering and watering can be controlled flexibly. At low temperatures, vegetables in the shed evaporate slowly and the water requirement decreases accordingly. Therefore, the amount of watering should be small, the interval time should be longer, and flooding should be avoided. Watering or spraying should be appropriate to prevent the roots of vegetables from falling due to low temperature and high humidity. After the first two days of watering, it is easy to cause the humidity in the shed to increase. Care should be taken to reduce the humidity and prevent the occurrence of disease. Ventilation is generally preferred at high temperatures at noon. When the seedlings are planted, they should be well-watered; in the low-temperature season, the vegetables should be properly controlled and watered; the first batch of fruits and vegetables should begin to expand, and the amount of water should be gradually increased; the result should always maintain sufficient moisture. The soil moisture content should not be less than 20%.

, watering time should be appropriate. Watering should be arranged before and after noon. It should be better after 10 o'clock in the afternoon and before 3 o'clock in the afternoon. The greenhouse temperature is higher during this period, and the side effects after watering are minimal. Avoid watering in the early morning and evening to prevent freezing of vegetables. Watering should use well water as much as possible, because the well water temperature is higher, which can reduce the physiological stimulation of vegetables.

, see the days of flexible watering. According to the weather conditions, we should master the principle of “a fair amount of water in the sunny days, little or no pouring in cloudy days, and avoid watering in the wind and snow days”. When the weather changes from sunny to cloudy, the amount of water should gradually decrease and the interval should be extended. When the weather changes from cloudy to sunny, the amount of watering should be small and large, and the interval should be shortened. It is best to combine watering and fertilization, and timely ventilation and air exchange after watering and fertilizing.

, watering different parts of the shed should be different. There is a big difference in the temperature of each part of the greenhouse, and the amount of watering must also be different. For example, at the southern end of the greenhouse and near heat sources such as a warming stove and a flue, evaporation of soil moisture should be larger, and the amount of watering can be appropriately larger; the temperature on the east and west sides of the greenhouse is lower, the sunshine duration is shorter, and the amount of water is increased. Should be less appropriate.
