Sheep infectious pustules are often referred to locally as "sheep sores". The disease occurs every year in our county. It has a wide incidence of disease, low mortality, and is often sporadic seasonal epidemics. It is one of the infectious diseases that affect the healthy growth of lambs. In the spring of 2000, a rare mixed type of sheep's contagious pustules occurred in our county, which caused a large economic loss to the sheep industry. Now it is introduced as follows.

1 Clinical symptoms and necropsy changes

The onset of the disease showed a typical mixed infectious pustular form. At the beginning of the disease, the mouth was swollen and enlarged, followed by lips, lower abdomen, extremities, vulva, and lower part of the abdomen. The red spots and pimples appeared at various places. After 1 to 2 days, blisters and pustules formed. Most of the diseased sheep showed mulberry-like protrusions in the thinly crusted parts of the lips, vulva, and tail, and some of the upper and lower lips of the affected sheep were swollen like mushrooms. Some of them had cracks and ulcers throughout their face, and the limbs of the lambs had stiff, uneven skin. Inconvenient walking, died of hunger and lung infection. The necropsy of the dead lambs affected the throat, lungs, and fourth stomach.

2 Prevention

2.1 The wound was washed with 0.50% potassium permanganate solution or vinegar twice a day, each time the wound was washed, and the powder was scattered by adding or reducing the Qinglan Powder. This side had a significant effect on the big sheep.

2.2 Each kg body weight per dose of vitamin C 0.60 grams, vitamin B2 0.60 grams, virus Ling tablets 0.80 grams, if there is a secondary lung infection, per kilogram of body weight plus people with Pioneer capsule 0.20 tablets, used in conjunction 4 - 7th is a course of treatment. The short-term and mild conditions of disease in the affected local sheep combined with local therapies have significant curative effects and a high cure rate.

2.3 When a sick sheep appears in the flock, the diseased sheep will be raised separately from the other sheep, and the isolated diseased sheep will no longer graze. Esophageal contact with the ewe's breasts, carefully disinfected with 1% potassium permanganate or 1:500 eukerrin to prevent other lambs from sucking. The contaminated pens and sports grounds of the sheep are cleaned after the excrement is removed, and dried lime powder or caustic soda water (3% concentration) is used for disinfection. The grass mats and remaining forage grasses that have been exposed to sheep are burned. During the epidemic period, the sheep are mainly fed in order to prevent pollution of the pasture. The forage was fed with soft green hay or silage feed. A small amount of salt was added to the feed to reduce the mud or mud of the lamb and avoid the trauma of the oral mucosa. According to the survey, goats with the same group of goats in the early spring were not injected with goat quail vaccine. Therefore, the goats were not injected with goat pox to prevent their occurrence, so that the epidemic was effectively controlled.
